My wedding speech went down well with the audience.
Though easygoing as ever, the bride and groom looked a little nervous while listening to a series of wedding speeches that sounded like lectures on life. Everybody looked bored and the air was heavy. Reading the room, I broke the ice with my speech, sharing a funny episode I had with my dear friends, the bride and groom. When I was finished, I saw a smile on everyone’s face, including, of course, the bride and groom. That made me smile.
