A friend of mine recently built a log house and moved there with his family. Tucked away in the woods, the place looks like a small campsite off the beaten path. Living in a place like this was his longtime dream that nobody knew about. Working on so many big projects as the head of R&D at one of the nation’s major companies, he looked like a typical workaholic elite, expected to reach the top of the company one of these days. So when he abruptly announced his resignation once his team successfully finished the project, it was not just me who was caught completely off guard. But soon after that, he launched a new project—building a log house in the country, his true dream.
