Between them, Tom and his brothers own two companies, three houses, and five cars. After their father’s death, they all owned and ran the companies in equal measure, but recently Tom got obsessed with social media. One Saturday afternoon, they were playing golf with their clients when Tom went on a tear on social media. Between posting and scrolling, he spent all afternoon on his phone, not paying much attention to the clients. He finally let up when the upset clients had all left. Then it took some time to repair their business relationships. It is obvious that social media is affecting Tom’s work. They have to do something before it’s too late, before Tom gets totally untethered from his work.
